The Gift of Multicultural Connection

Did you know that nearly all of the 48 sign languages in the Deaf Bible app include the story of Jesus’ birth from Matthew 1 or Luke 2?
Many sign languages only have access to small portions of Scripture so far. These chapters are favorites because communities around the world share a multicultural connection to the story of Jesus!
As we celebrate the Christmas holidays, the translation team in Ukraine is enjoying the gift of connection within their Deaf community. Signing hands come alive, telling stories of joy, love, and togetherness.

We are grateful for the power of technology—especially video and the Internet—that allows Deaf communities around the world to connect with each other. Deaf Bible Society hosts a special online group where translation teams can encourage each other and share prayer requests.
