DECEMBER 9
The Gift of Accessible Opportunity
What a gift to have Deaf and hearing collaboration to share the Deaf Bible! This collaboration creates an accessible opportunity in two important ways.
First, Deaf and hearing team members work together on coding the Deaf Bible app. Our staff communicates primarily in American Sign Language. This makes our workplace accessible so that Deaf staff can more fully bring their gifts and talents to our ministry.
And second, we make sure that the Deaf Bible app appeals to sign language communicators. So, we continue to add features that offer an even more accessible opportunity for app users to connect with God through Scripture.
Celebrate
In the Deaf Bible app, it is now easier than ever to clip and share a video verse of signed Scripture to encourage a friend. App users can also see parallel Bible text alongside sign language videos.
Pray
- That the accessibility of Scripture in sign language would engage more Deaf communities to discover God’s truth and love
- For our partners: SIL, Catalan & Spanish Sign Language Team, and the Estonia Sign Language Team
